β¨ Tips for a Smooth Session
βοΈ Keep baby awake for 10-20 minutes before arrival to help them sleep deeper.
βοΈ Feed baby right before arriving for a full, sleepy baby.
βοΈ Bring a pacifier! It helps soothe baby into poses.
βοΈ Change diapers before walking into the studio.
βοΈ If bottle-feeding, bring bottles. If supplementing, formula helps babies sleep longer (only if baby is used to it).
βοΈ Bring along any small, personalized items you’d love included. such as a special hair brush, name tag, heirloom blanket, or meaningful keepsake
π What to Wear – Parents & Family
π‘ Soft, neutral tones photograph best! Stick to white, beige, light gray, soft taupe, or muted pastels.
π«Textures like linen, ribbed knits, lace, and gauzy fabrics add a beautiful touch without being distracting.
β Avoid: Bright/vibrant colors, bold patterns, logos, or anything with large text. β
π Hand photos? Keep nails clean, trimmed, and preferably in neutral polish (tan, light gray, soft pink, or clear). Avoid bold or dark colors.
π For Moms:
Long, flowy dresses work best! They create movement, flatter post-baby bodies, and add elegance to the images. Consider styles like:
-
Maxi dresses (soft and flowy, easy to move in)
-
Empire waist dresses (perfect for flattering the midsection)
-
Wrap dresses (adjustable fit and great for nursing moms)
-
Dresses with delicate lace or ruffles (adds subtle texture)
π For Dads & Older Siblings:
-
Soft cotton or linen shirts (henley, button-down, or plain fitted tee in white, beige, or gray)
-
Pants or chinos in neutral tones (avoid jeans with rips or logos)
-
Barefoot or neutral socks (since we shoot on a white floor)
Keeping it simple and coordinate
