Hey there, I’m Yazmin! 👋
Thanks for taking a moment to get to know me! Here are some fun (and totally random) facts about me:
☕ I drink my coffee black—straight to the point, just like me.
🍕 Pizza and beer = my ultimate comfort combo.
🌀 Fidget toys are my jam—you’ll always find them on my desk.
🖤 My wardrobe? Mostly black, lots of overalls, and my trusty Birkenstocks.
🏃♀️ I’ve run several half marathons (but don’t ask me to run a full one!).
🤫 I’m either quiet and observant or an open book—no in-between.
💙 My husband is a nurse and a veteran (he’s the real MVP).
👦 Our son is named after my dad.
🎀 Our daughter’s middle name is Cute. Yes, Cute!
🐶 We have two very needy little dogs who are 100% convinced they own the house. Every room, every couch, every little corner? Theirs. We’re just lucky they let us live here too!
A timeline
📸 The Early Days
My love for photography started in my teenage years, but in many ways, it was always part of me. My grandfather on my mother’s side was a family photographer, capturing moments that are still treasured today. My mother made sure I nurtured that same passion, and before I knew it, photography became more than just a hobby—it became a calling.
💡 2013 – Taking the Leap
What started as a deep love for documenting life’s fleeting moments turned into a full-time career. In 2013, I officially became a family photographer, capturing everything from newborn giggles to growing families.
🏡 2021 – Opening My First Studio
After years of on-location sessions, I opened my first private studio in Cerritos, California. It was a dream come true—a space dedicated to creating timeless, heartfelt images for families who trusted me with their most precious memories.
🌊 2025 – A New Chapter by the Beach
The next step felt natural—moving the studio to Los Alamitos to be closer to the Beach. My husband, kids, and I are beach lovers at heart, so bringing my business closer to the coast felt like aligning my personal joy with my professional passion.
✨ The Future – So Much More to Come
This journey has been full of growth, evolution, and endless gratitude. And the best part? There is still so much more in store. I look forward to the next 10, 20, 30 years—continuing to capture love, joy, and connection for the families who invite me into their world.
